Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd. (“ACK”) is organizing a Contest “Tinkle IdeaStar 2026 (“Contest”).
The Contest is promoted by ACK having its registered office at 5017-20, Fifth Floor, 1 Aerocity, NIBR Corporate Park, Andheri-Kurla Road, Safed Pool, Shivaji Nagar, Saki Naka, Mumbai – 400072, Maharashtra, India.
The Contest shall commence on 1st June, 2026 and end on 30th June, 2026.
The Contest is open to all children under 18 (eighteen) years of age (“Participant”) as of 1st June 2026. Participation is permitted only with the prior explicit consent of the Participant’s Parent or Legal Guardian. By consenting, the Parent/Legal Guardian agrees to the collection, processing, and storage of the Participant’s personal data by the Contest organizers in accordance with the applicable laws, strictly for the purposes of administering the Contest. Participants and their Parent/Legal Guardian must be residents of India.
By entering this Contest, the Parent/Legal Guardian of the Participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions for the Contest as given by ACK.
To enter the Contest, the Participant shall provide their ideas via an online form that shall be accessible via the print and digital editions of Tinkle’s June 2026 issue (Issue No. 837) for the following prompt: A Suppandi story and a problem for Banku’s Bhai to solve.
All the Participants are expected to submit their entries by 30th June 2026 via the online form only. No entries provided via email or post shall be entertained by ACK for any reason whatsoever.
Any entries received before the opening or after the closing dates of the Contest will be considered as invalid and shall not be entered into the Contest, unless decided otherwise by ACK. ACK shall assume no responsibility for entries not received before the opening date and beyond closing date, for whatever reason.
Participants are strictly prohibited from using any form of artificial intelligence (AI) to complete their submissions. Any Participant found using AI will be immediately disqualified from the competition.
ACK shall select winners (“Winners”) for the Contest. ACK shall have the sole discretion to shortlist Winners for the Contest entered by the Participants.
The Winners shall receive fixed prizes from ACK.
The Prizes shall be as follows: 1st prize: An Amazon gift voucher worth Rs. 4000/-; 2nd prize: An Amazon gift voucher worth Rs. 3000/-; 3rd prize: An Amazon gift voucher worth Rs. 2000/-; & Special prize: Upto 10 amazon gift vouchers worth Rs. 1000/- each
The respective Prize Winners shall be contacted by the Tinkle team via email to receive their gift vouchers. In addition to these gift vouchers, the Prize Winner’s ideas shall further be adapted into a story in Tinkle magazine’s editions in upcoming issues. The winners will be notified of when their ideas will be adapted.
Non-prize-winning stories may also be adapted into a story in Tinkle magazine’s editions, subject to editorial discretion.
By submitting a story via this Contest, the Participant’s Parent/ Legal guardian accepts that they have done so voluntarily and have exclusively assigned all rights to ACK. ACK shall be considered the owner of the story (whether it be the winning story or non-winning story) for all purposes and the owner of all Intellectual Property Rights associated with the story in perpetuity, without condition, restriction or limitation of any kind, and free and clear of any and all claims for royalty or other compensation, except as may be specifically set forth herein. Accordingly, and without limitation of the foregoing, ACK shall be entitled in perpetuity, but at its sole discretion, to copyright the work in its own name and ACK has the right to publish/use it, in any manner considered suitable, as and when required, including reprints, etc. Further, the Participant’s Parent/ Legal guardian declares that the submitted story is original and has not been published/used anywhere else. The Participant’s parent/ legal guardian further confirms that they have the exclusive right to submit it to ACK. Further:
All rights associated with every submitted story in the comics’ format shall belong to ACK at all times.
All rights associated with every submitted story based on Tinkle Characters shall belong to ACK at all times.
ACK cannot be held responsible if any of the Participant’s statements prove untrue.
The submission of a story by the Participant shall not create any obligation on ACK to publish/use it.
It is clarified that there shall be no separate announcement declaring the Winners of the Contest. Participants and readers will learn the identities of the Prize Winners upon seeing their ideas adapted into stories published in upcoming issues of the Tinkle Magazine. It is further clarified that prizes shall be awarded only to participants below the age of 18 years through their parent or legal guardian. It is understood that each Prize Winner (First, Second, and Third) shall have their story published in an upcoming issue of the Tinkle Magazine.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, if the Winner fails to respond within a period of 15 (fifteen) days from the date of being notified of winning and/or ACK is unable to contact the Winner despite all reasonable efforts, ACK reserves the right to change the Winner and/or rescind the prize.
There is no entry fee to enter this Contest.
Only one entry will be accepted per Participant. Multiple attempts from the same Participant shall be disqualified.
Closing date for entries will be 30th June 2026. After this date, no further entries to the Contest will be permitted, unless otherwise decided by ACK.
Prizes distributed and any changes to the prizes will be at the sole discretion of ACK.
The Participant and his/her parent/ legal guardian agrees that all rights associated with the questions in the Contest shall vest with ACK at all times. ACK shall retain all right, title and interest in its patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade name, trade dress, service marks and trade secrets and/or creations, model, data, flow chart, drawing, design, diagram, table, artwork, innovation or any other information or material (“Intellectual Property Rights“) in perpetuity. The Parent/Legal guardian represents and warrant on behalf of the participant that they shall not, without any valid license or express authorization, use the intellectual property rights belonging to ACK and /or third parties. In the event it is claimed that any part of the Contest or answers submitted by the Participant infringes any person’s copyright, the Parent/Legal guardian represents and warrant on behalf of the Participant that they shall indemnify against all costs, expenses, losses, fines etc. incurred, borne or suffered by ACK.
By participating in the Contest, the Parents or legal guardian of the Participants provide express consent for the collection, use, storage, and processing of the Participant’s personal data, solely for the purposes of administering the Contest, evaluating entries, announcing results through publication, and awarding prizes. Such consent may be withdrawn at any time by the parent or legal guardian, upon which the Participant’s data shall be deleted, subject to applicable legal or regulatory requirements. All personal data shall be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and shall not be used for any purpose beyond those specified herein without obtaining fresh consent
ACK reserves the right to, without liability or prejudice to any of its other rights, at any time, without previous notice and from time to time, withdraw/suspend/amend/cancel this Contest, with or without any reason.
The Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in India. All matters with respect to the Contest are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts at Mumbai.
ACK’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Contest will be final and no correspondence will be entertained.
Nothing contained in these terms and conditions, nor the running of this Contest to which they apply, shall be construed as an obligation on ACK.
Employees, officers and/or agents of ACK and their families are excluded from entering the Contest.
Entry into the Contest shall be deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
