The summer days are very hot,

It brings to my mind a wonderful thought!

Should we do something to cool ourselves down?

Rather than sit and frown!

So, let’s get ready for the pool,

Oh, the water there is nice and cool!

I am excited but nervous too,

There are so many things I plan to do!

Kick and paddle, float and swim,

The water there is filled to the brim!

It is so much fun to be at the pool,

It reminds me of my friends at school.

But now I will try my best,

And learn to swim before I rest!

When my summer vacation ends,

I will have many stories to share with my friends!
