One bright, sunny afternoon, Missy Mouse was playing her favourite board game, Coins and Cones, with her friends at home. She was really happy to have her best friends, Ronnie Rat and Callie Crow, around. But she wasn’t as pleased about Silky Squirrel, Ronnie’s sister.

Silky had recently scored higher on a class test than Ronnie, which Ronnie wasn’t very happy about. But they put aside their differences and started the game. Just as Callie was about to win, Missy’s father came from the kitchen with a plate of sandwiches.

As Callie took some sandwiches for herself and sat down, she noticed that someone had moved her coin. She was back at the beginning! She started crying. Missy’s father asked the other kids if they knew anything.

“I know one of you is not being honest. Please own up right now,” said Missy’s father.

Who does he think is lying and why?

Missy’s father thinks Missy is lying because she had turned away from the table when the incident occurred. How could she have seen Silky do anything behind her head?
