The wolf is intelligent,

It loves company and has a pack.

It has strong bonds with its family,

Which humans sometimes lack.

They are great at communicating,

They whimper, growl, whine and bark.

They are quiet when they’re hunting,

But love howling in the dark.

They love the wintry weather,

They are adapted to cold climes.

There used to be many in their species,

But now there is only a few of their kind.

They are the dog’s ancestors,

Man’s best friend came from them.

We must put in effort,

To save and protect them.
