TERMS & CONDITIONS 

These Contest Terms and Conditions (”Terms and Conditions”) govern your participation in the “Get Tinkle-fied Contest” (the “Contest”) conducted by Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd. (“ACK” or “Company” or “we”). These Terms and Conditions apply to all participants (“Participant” – in case of minor participants include the parent/guardian of such minor participant) who intend to participate in the Contest. Because this competition is for children aged below 18, parents are encouraged to read, understand, and accept the contest’s terms and conditions. 

1. The Contest is promoted by Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd. having its registered office at 5017-20, Fifth Floor, 1 Aerocity, NIBR Corporate Park, Andheri-Kurla Road, Safed Pool, Shivaji Nagar, Saki Naka, Mumbai – 400072. 

2. The contest is open to the Participants , entering through their parent/guardian and who are residents of India.

3. To enter the contest, participants must submit their content suggestion to the Tinkle editorial team. Suggestions may be in the form of plot, character and setting suggestions. All submissions must be made through an online form. By submitting the content suggestion, you acknowledge and agree that your participation constitutes entry into our Contest.

4. The Contest shall commence on 1 April, 2025 and will be conducted in four phases as follows–

 ACK will invite content suggestion in each Phase for a different character from the TINKLE universe. 

5. By entering this contest, the Participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions for the Contest as given by ACK. 

6. Submission Guidelines: Late submissions as well as submissions sent in any other mode apart from the one explicitly mentioned in these Terms & Conditions will not be considered. Only one entry per Participant will be accepted per Phase of the Contest. ACK will consider the first entry submitted by each Participant. Any subsequent or duplicate entries from the same Participant will be deleted by ACK’s editorial team. 

7. Content Guidelines: Submissions should be original and should not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. ACK reserves the right to disqualify any submission that is deemed inappropriate or offensive. 

8. ACK shall select one winner (“Winner”) for the Contest in each phase. ACK shall have the sole discretion to shortlist the Winner for the Contest entered by the Participants. 

9. The winning entry will be selected by ACK’s editorial team based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the Tinkle universe. The Winner shall be informed by ACK by a medium of communication of its choice. The Winner shall sign a formal Release Form to be eligible for receiving the Prize mentioned herein below. 

10. The Prize shall be as follows:  

10.1 The Winner will have their content suggestion featured in a future Tinkle story. 

10.2The Winner will also be featured as a character in that story. Their likeness will be used in the comic adaptation of the suggested idea. 

 11. Prize shall be awarded only to the Participants below the age of 18 years. 

 12. There is no entry fee to enter this Contest. 

 13. The Participant agrees that all rights, including intellectual property rights, in the content suggestion submitted will be assigned to ACK at all given points in time. ACK shall retain all right, title and interest in its patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade name, trade dress, service marks and trade secrets and/or creations, model, data, flow chart, drawing, design, diagram, table, artwork, innovation or any other information or material (“Intellectual Property Rights“) in perpetuity. In the event it is claimed that any part of the content suggestion or concepts submitted by the Participant infringes any person’s copyright, the Participant agrees to indemnify against all costs, expenses, losses, fines etc. incurred, borne or suffered by ACK. 

 14. By entering the Contest, the participant grants ACK and its affiliates the right to adapt and use their content suggestion in future publications, including but not limited to print and digital media. The Winner also agrees to the use of their likeness (photographs, drawings, etc.) in the comic story. 

15. Parents or legal guardians of the Winner will be required to sign a release form to permit the use of the child’s likeness in the comic story. If the signed release form is not returned to the ACK editorial team within 15 days from the date of intimation ACK Editorial team, ACK reserves the right to use only the content suggestion in the comic story, but not their name or likeness. The child’s content suggestion will still be adapted and featured in the story. 

 16. ACK reserves the right to, without liability or prejudice to any of its other rights, at any time, without previous notice and from time to time, withdraw/suspend/amend/cancel this Contest, with or without any reason. 

17. The Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in India. All matters with respect to the Contest are subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts at Mumbai only. 

18. ACK’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the contest will be final and no correspondence will be entertained. 

19. Nothing contained in these terms and conditions, nor the running of this Contest to which they apply, shall be construed as an obligation on ACK.
