“Garden… completely… dug up…” Private Investigator Bernice Zama muttered as she scribbled in her notepad.
“All my carrots gone!” said Dibu Vazhai. “I put so much care and effort into growing them, and someone just yanked them from my garden.”
“Who had access to your garden recently?” asked PI Zama.
“Only my neighbours,” said Dibu. “All our gardens connect. Our backyard fences have a small door.”
“Right. So I’ll go ask them where they were when your carrots were stolen.”

PI Zama set o to speak to the residents of the other three houses near Dibu’s.

After speaking to them, PI Zama knew that one of them wasn’t entirely honest and was therefore more suspicious.
