Rajju and Bijju Rathod were two octopuses running the most famous sandwich shop in the underwater town of Jalsa. The key to their success was a secret ancestral masala that only their family knew the recipe for. Upon noticing a steady decrease in their masala reserves, they suspected foul play and led a complaint at Puersh Police Station. The police made a list of the following suspects after conducting their primary investigation:

  • Ex-crime boss Sharkira who ran a rival sandwich shop.
  • Eela who used to work at Rajju and Bijju’s shop.

Sharkira and Eela visited Rajju and Bijju’s shop on the 28th of July when free sandwiches were being distributed to celebrate the shop’s 40th anniversary. The CCTV (coral circuit television) footage stopped working from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. when Sharkira and Eela had supposedly left the shop. The Rathod brothers asked Inspector Kakkad to help solve the case. “We’re slammed with an outbreak of seaweed poisoning and now this!” cried Inspector Kakkad as she left the police station.
Here are the suspects’ statements to the police:

Can you find out who robbed Rajju and Bijju and why?

Eela is the culprit. She claims to have eaten the seaweed platter, but seaweed would not be served if an infection was spreading. Since the restaurant is owned by her friend, the friend might lie for her.
