NILGIRIS: In a long list of tragedies that have befallen Nilgiri Orchid International School (or NOIS), the latest is that their power supply has been indefinitely cut! News coming out of this boarding school says that their electricity was abruptly lost one evening, after the final exams.

“This is disgraceful!” said our student source, who wished to remain anonymous. “We hardly ever get to party, and the one time we do, our electricity is gone!” Another student added, “We were partying on the last day of our exams. Music, snacks, drinks—we had them all. But then we were plunged into darkness and our evening was ruined!” Our readers might be of the opinion that power cuts are hardly newsworthy, but this one is. It’s likely that the whole school’s supply has been cut off from the main power grid itself! “Our dormitory wardens very reluctantly gave us permission to party,” said our first source. “We think they pulled the plug on our celebrations at the power station itself, because they couldn’t stand the sight of happy students. They want us to be miserable all the time! So unfair!”

Will the wardens ever admit to this underhanded operation? Is it time the students at NOIS staged a protest to have them removed? Read the full story in Tinkle 786 Week 3 and pick your side.
